Somebody mentioned as a joke that our round chocolate toffee balls looked like rabbit droppings! What a cheek! Never one not turn an idea to our advantage, we thought that we might market them for the Welsh tourist trade as “Dragon Droppings”. Look out for them in a field near you!

Toasted Coconut Teacakes were made by Taverners for years until Tangerine took over the line. However, they discontinued them in late 2014, and everyone has been desperate for their return ever since. We have resisted the temptation up until now but consumer pressure has forced me to at least consider making them. I will be looking at the receipe and the purchase of the necessary pilot equipment in the next few months and will report my findings soon. But, if everything goes to plan, Brays will be making this product again by the end of the summer. Does it matter if they are square instead of round in shape? Let me know.

Many years ago, Brays Sweets used to make what is now known as “Chewing Nuts”.
Well, this year, we built a chocolate panning line and are, as we write this, performing trials of chocolate toffees balls, in caramel, mint, and orange flavours. The popular product on the market at the moment is coated on a chocolate enrobing machine. We are going back to basics and plan to chocolate pan the toffee balls. Just like we used to do 50 years ago!
We haven’t decided on a name for this new product yet, perhaps…..Chocolate Toffee Knuts; Chocolate Toffee Balls; ????

We were asked a year ago by a high street coffee chain to produce a tin of breath mints. It has taken us over a year, but they have now arrived onto the marketplace. To be available in supermarkets, coffee shops, and all good newsagents and confectioners. These breath mints are strong and sugar-free!

We have been asked to produce a chocolate coated shortbread biscuit for a few years.
Well, this year, we’ve done it. All customers are delighted and have placed orders.
Since introducing them in late February, we have had to restock three times already!
Welcome to Brays Welsh Sweet Shop, the oldest Sweet Supplier in Wales. We are one of the few remaining traditional sweet manufacturers left in the UK. We have been making sweets for over 100 years!
Here at Brays Sweets, we pride ourselves on quality, tradition and flavour! In our online shop, you will find a huge range of traditional handmade sweets together with a range of retro sweets.
Our factory in South Wales makes boiled sweets, fudges, toffees, chews, nougat and a whole lot more. All the sweets are hand made, following traditional family recipes, call in and see us, the smells are irresistible!
Due to the unprecedented demand for an online ordering and payment method, a decision was taken to sell our sweets direct to our customers, via an online internet shop. Note, we are not to be confused with the majority of online sweet shops, WE actually make our own sweets!
