As a small percentage of the sweets are sourced from other companies, we cannot guarantee that the information will be 100% correct. If you have any particular concerns, please contact us, we have over 100 years experience!
We cannot guarantee that any of the sweets on this site will be free from traces of nuts.
Some of the sweets may not be suitable for children under the age of six.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept credit card payments, these are handled by our secure credit card processing facility with WorldPay. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
Orders by cheque: Please make payable to "Brays Sweets Limited" and send to us with a printed order from the online shop, remember to keep a copy for yourself. Your order will be despatched as soon as your cheque is cleared in our account, This normally takes 4 - 8 working days.
We are committed to despatching your order as soon as possible providing all items are in stock. (We may have to make them!) We do not have a Royal Mail or Courier collection on Saturdays or Sundays. If an item is out of stock, we reserve the right to replace the item with a similar product of equal or greater value. If you do not like our choice, you can of course, return it to us and we will refund your postage.
Shipping And Handling
All U.K. deliveries under 2kg are sent by Royal Mail parcel rates, 3 -5 day service, as this is the most cost effective. But, if you would prefer a faster service, request CityLink next day service. You will be requested for a signature to confirm delivery. we also offer 1st class postal delivery for small packets. All UK orders over 3kg are automatically sent by CityLink next day service. The maximum cost is £4.95.
Smaller International deliveries are sent by Royal mail surface or airmail. Note, the maximum weight for airmail and small packets is 2kg. Larger orders are sent using ParcelForce Worldwide which may take up to 60 days.
If you qualify for the HM Forces Worldwide Service, please use it as it offers extremely cheap rates all over the world.
By placing large orders, for example, ordering with family and friends, you will get the very best value for your money.
Delivery Schedule
Providing the goods are in stock, any orders received before noon will be despatched the next day. Orders received after noon will be despatch within 48 hours. Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday orders will be despatched the next working day.
Delivery times for the UK are typically 3 - 5 days from the time that we receive your order, unless you request a next day CityLink service. All UK orders over 3kg are automaticall sent by next day delivery. We strive to dispatch and deliver your orders as soon as possible.
Allow 7 - 10 days for all overseas airmail deliveries, and usually 3-4 weeks for overland services. (Some remote destinations may take up to 75 days).
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will manufacture it for you. For the nostalgic products that we stock and are not made by us, we will endevour to obtain those items as quickly as possible, usually within 24 hours. In these instances, we will not despatch your order until it is complete. If the products that you have ordered are not available within 48 hours, we will send as much of the order as we can, and the send the balance as soon as it becomes available. Alternatively, if there is a similar product available, we reserve the right to substitute for the product ordered. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero .
Credit Card Security
Your complete peace of mind is vitally important to us.
Your credit card details are processed by a secure server by one of the largest companies in the world, ie
WorldPay. You can access their wesite at: www.worldpay.com
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
This means that we do not receive any credit card details ourselves, only a confirmation that the transactions have been authorised.

We would like to guarantee your complete satisfaction. We will do our utmost to ensure that your order reaches you in good condition. However, if you are not entirely satisfied, please contact us immediately and we will endeavour to address your needs in a fast and efficient manner.

Returns Policy
We would like to think that you are completely satisfied with your purchase.
However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return them, within 7 days of receipt, to: Customer Returns, The Welsh Sweet Shop, Palmersvale Business Centre, Palmerston Road, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.
CF63 2XA. Please attach your full name and address, any packing notes or labels associated with the product and details of your concerns. We will be happy to refund you in full. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We cannot be held responsible for goods returned to us that are lost in transit. We will take great care to package your order so that it should be delivered in good condition. But, we will not be held liable for damage caused due to atmospheric conditions once the product has been despatched. For example, extreme dampness or chocolate melting when exposed to heat, possibly in very hot weather.
However, if we consider that we have supplied sweets in good condition and in good faith, we reserve the right to deduct a handling charge equal to 15% of the value of the goods and the delivery charges at cost. This again does not affect your statutory rights.
Remittance Terms
All purchases are in pounds sterling. Payment can be made by credit and debit cards, and by UK cheque. Please make cheques payable to "Brays Sweets Limited" (This is our manufacturing Company).
