 | Specials Page Sugar Free Sweets
Our Sugar Free sweets are made incorporating a product called ISOMALT.
Isomalt is a sugar substitute which may be used in the place of a sugar/glucose mix in the production of confectionery.
Isomalt is unique because of:
its pure, sweet taste
the body and texture it gives to foodstuffs
suitable for DIABETICS
is non-carigenic ie it is kind to teeth
they look and taste very similar to sugar/glucose based sweets
Physically, sugar and Isomalt look very similar. Both are crystalline in
nature. However, that is where the similarity ends. Isomalt is non-criogenic and will not lead to tooth decay; it does not lead to an appreciable increase in blood sugar or insulin levels, and hence is suitable for diabetics; it has only half the calories of sugar.
Daily doses of at least 50g are well tolertated over long periods.
Organic Sweets
Brays have the facilities available to be able to
produce hard boiled Organic Sweets.They are made from specially sourced
unrefined organic sugars. The only other ingredients are: natural colourings and flavourings, food acids and cream of tartar.
Gluten Free Sweets
Brays are able to specify on request which types of product are Gluten
free.
GFCF Sweets (Gluten and Casein free)
Chocolate Fudge, Coconut Nougat, Peppermint Chews, Strawberry
Chews, Vanilla Fudge, Treacle Toffees,Carob Chews.
All of the sweets are Gluten Wheat, Dairy,Aspatame and Dga free. No
artificial colourings, preservatives or colourings are used.
